Terms

Last updated: 4 July 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Waffol for using the Waffol website (waffol.com), the early-access list, and, as it becomes available to you, the Waffol app and services (together, “Waffol”). By using Waffol you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Waffol.

Early access and beta

Waffol is new and evolving. Parts of it are in early access or beta, may change or be removed at any time, may not become generally available, and can contain bugs. Joining the early-access list means we may contact you about Waffol; it does not create an account, cost anything, or guarantee access, a place in a queue, or any particular timing.

Who can use Waffol

You need to be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You are responsible for the information you give us, for keeping your account details secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Do not share or transfer your account.

Using Waffol responsibly

Use Waffol lawfully. You agree not to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, upload harmful or malicious content, try to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service or its security, use Waffol or its outputs to build or train a competing product or model, or use it to harm others. We may suspend or end access that breaks these terms.

What Waffol is, and is not

Waffol helps you organise, understand, and keep track of your everyday money. Waffol is not a bank, an e-money institution, or a payment service, and it does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Where Waffol helps you settle up with other people, the payment itself happens directly between you and them through your own bank or payment method; Waffol records and requests, and it does not hold or move your money. You are responsible for your own financial decisions, and if you are unsure you should speak to a qualified adviser.

AI features

Some features use AI to help you read receipts, understand your spending, and answer questions about your money. AI can be wrong or incomplete, so treat what it produces as a helpful starting point rather than a final answer, verify anything important, and keep control of your money decisions. Waffol’s AI is assistive; it does not take consequential financial actions on your behalf.

Your content

You keep ownership of the information and content you put into Waffol. You give us the permission we need to host, process, and display it so we can provide and improve Waffol and the features you use (including through the providers described in our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for having the right to share anything you add, including details about other people you add as contacts. We may create and use anonymised, aggregated data (which does not identify you) to operate, understand, and improve Waffol.

Our content

Waffol, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us or our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable permission to use Waffol while these terms apply. Do not copy, resell, or misuse it.

Availability and changes

We are building quickly, so we may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these terms. If we make a material change we will take reasonable steps to let you know, and continuing to use Waffol means you accept the update.

Disclaimers and your statutory rights

Waffol is provided “as is” and “as available”, particularly during early access and beta. To the extent the law allows, we do not make warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Waffol is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for financial decisions you make using it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending your use

You can stop using Waffol, leave the early-access list, and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, or where we need to for legal or security reasons.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law gives you other rights.
